John Hegarty has been central to the global advertising scene over six decades working with brands such as Levi’s, Audi, Boddingtons, Lynx, British Airways and Johnnie Walker.
He was a founding partner of Saatchi and Saatchi in 1970.
He founded Bartle Bogle Hegarty in 1982 with John Bartle and Nigel Bogle. The Agency now has offices in London, New York, Singapore, Stockholm, Shanghai, Mumbai and Los Angeles.
John’s creative awards are numerous. He has been given the D&AD President’s Award for outstanding achievement and in 2014 was admitted to the US AAF Hall of Fame.
John was awarded a Knighthood by the Queen in 2007 and was the recipient of the first Lion of St Mark award at the Cannes Festival of Creativity in 2011.
John wrote his first book ‘Hegarty on Advertising – Turning Intelligence into Magic’ in 2011 and his book “Hegarty on Creativity – there are no rules” was published in 2014.
In 2014 John Co-founded The Garage Soho, an early stage investor company that believes in building brands, not just businesses.
John has just launched a new online 8-week course, entitled The Business of Creativity, aimed to equip people with tangible tools to help win through the application of creativity.
She introduces herself like this: former volleyball player, former university professor, former vice-president of a start-up because she believes it is important to always have their failures clear. She is currently the President of Playres, a no-profit gaming start-up and founder of the School of Failure. Author of the book Failure is revolution. Because failing is good!

Chiara Saraceno, honorary fellow at Collegio Carlo Alberto, Torino, was professor in sociology of the family first at the University of Trento then at the University of Turin. In 2006-2011 she was research professor at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung. In 1998-2001 she chaired the Italian Commission on poverty and social exclusion. At present she chairs the scientific committee for the evaluation of the Minimum Income scheme. Manuel Agnelli is a singer-songwriter, musician, record producer and writer, best known as founder and frontman of Afterhours, Italy’s premier rock band of recent decades, which he founded in 1985.
In 1989 Manuel founded together with other ‘cultural agitators’ the Vox Pop record label, which over five years has produced ninety records with bands such as Ritmo Tribale, Africa Unite, Mau Mau, Prozac +, Casino Royale and Sottotono.
In 1998 Afterhours took part for the first time in the celebrated May Day concert in Rome. They were to return four more times.
In 1999 they released their album Non è per sempre, which to this day remains in Italy’s 100 greatest records of all time, compiled by Rolling Stone Italia.
At the end of summer 2000, Mondadori published Manuel Agnelli’s book entitled Il meraviglioso tubetto, which went on sale combined with a special version of their last album with several previously unreleased tracks.
In 2001 at the the Italian Music Awards he won Best Italian Producer after producing Verdena’s album Solo un grande sasso.
In 2007 Afterhours were selected to perform at the SXSW South By South West Festival, the industry’s most important event in the world, held in Austin, Texas. From here they set off on a tour that made a stop at every American major city.
The influential American publication Spin Magazine included Afterhours in their “100 Greatest Bands You’ve Never Heard Of”, a list of the best bands they considered deserved to be heard by the mainstream public.
Manuel Agnelli was one of the judges at the 10th edition of the musical talent show X-Factor, a role he covered in the two subsequent editions (2017 and 2018).
In December Manuel was appointed artistic director of Open Future, Together!, where with his band Afterhours he sang with Daniele Silvestri, Carmen Consoli, Rancore, Lous and the Yakuza, Fatoumata Diawara and Damon Albarn.
In January 2020 the duo Agnelli-D’Erasmo won the Press Award for “Best Italian Live” at the 2019 Rockol Awards for their tour An Evening With Manuel Agnelli.
In September, Afterhours took the stage at the Arena di Verona with Heroes, the first on demand live streaming concert, held to raise funds for the categories of the music sector most affected by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In October Manuel Agnelli returned as a judge on X-Factor, after a year’s absence, for the 14th edition.
In May 2022 the documentary “Tutankhamun – The Last Exhibition”, narrated by Agnelli, had its cinema release.

Since 2023 she has been responsible for the competence line of Consulting Services and deals with change management and strategy projects, assisting companies in improving the way people work and their work experience.
She has always been involved in issues of inclusion and empathy in companies, and has contributed to the creation of an indicator of the level of diversity and inclusiveness of the workplace, the DE&I Index, used as a benchmarking tool between organisations on gender equality issues and generational relationships.
Restaurateur and entrepreneur for more than thirty years, Massimo Bottura is one of the most innovative and influential figures in the gastronomic world. In 1995 he opened the Osteria Francescana in Modena, his hometown. The restaurant’s numerous awards – the three Michelin stars in 2012 and first place in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2016 and 2018 – contribute to the chef’s global reputation.
Over the years, other projects were born that today are part of the Franciscan Group: in Italy, Franceschetta 58, the Cavallino, Gucci Osteria Firenze and the guesthouse Casa Maria Luigia, and in the world, Torno Subito in Dubai and Gucci Osteria in Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Seoul. Cathy La Torre* is Lawyer and consultant, she has founded and directs the law firm Wildside Human First Milano, Bologna and Roma that follows people all over Italy thanks to the online.
She designs Diversity & Inclusion pathways for companies and public institutions, and is a business consultant on equal treatment, reputation, ESG corporate social responsibility and personal data processing. In 2019 she was awarded the Good Lobby award in Brussels as the best pro-bono lawyer in Europe, and in 2020 with the Emanuela Loi Courage award.
She published “No cause is lost” (2020) and “There are more important things” (2022) for Mondadori. Flavia Carlini was born in Naples in 1996 and currently lives in Rome. After a considerable period of time in London, focusing in particular on digital, she returned to Italy and began her career as account manager, to then become Business and Client Director.

Over the years, she has gained extensive experience on different types of accounts, from automotive to pharma, from luxury to food. MATTEO LAZZARINI

Matteo Lazzarini joined Leo Burnett as copywriter in 2007 and continued his professional career at Young&Rubicam (2010) and CasiraghiGreco& (2012). After freelancing in Toronto, he returned to Italy as Associate Creative Director at Leagas Delaney (2016). Since 2018 he has been at AKQA where he currently holds the role of Group Creative Director.

Mailine then joined Google to start the ZOO, its iconic creative team, in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa and grew it throughout the EMEA region, working for Google’s largest clients across all industry verticals. The ZOO changed its name globally to Creative Works in 2021. She is a frequent industry speaker at major creative and digital festivals and conferences, such as the World Wide Web Forum, Cannes, Mobile Marketing Association, IAB, The Drum, the Dubai Lynx and many others.

A life spent in creative agencies as a copywriter, creative director and finally executive creative director. 15 years of sweat, tears and joy launching campaigns, winning clients and prizes, spending sleepless nights and also making a lot of mistakes. He joins TikTok in 2020 to help agencies and customers create the best creative jobs on the platform.

LAURA FORMENTI
Actress, stand up comedian and cat lady
She started with the school play of elementary school in the role of “moss” then becoming the fixed face of the stand up of Comedy Central and finishing finalist at Italia’s Got Talent 2021. She participated in several television programs as a comedian: Sunday 5, Colorado and Le Iene. She collaborates with Serena Dandini in the show “Come on idiot”.
This year she launched her comedy podcast “Black Humor”, which peaked at number 10 on the Spotify chart. Her favorite places still are the web and the stage.

Dardust is Dario Faini, one of the most influential Italian pianists in the world of the new generation. Ludovica is one of the few professionals in Italy with specific experience in branded entertainment . Raised in Friends & Partners and Magnolia/Banijay as executive producer, she created one of the first Branded Content Units in the country. Today she heads FUSE, the division of Omnicom Media Group devoted to Content & Entertainment and specialised in Music, Sport, Social Media Entertainment and Culture.

Already juror in Cannes, New York, South Korea, Italy, he has been recognized with over 80 Italian and international awards, including Grand Prix ADC*E and ADCI, New York Festivals and D&Ad Yellow Pencil. He brought his students to the stage of Cannes, winning – for the very first time ever – the Cannes Future Lions award, and to the tracks of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with a leg specifically designed for Martina Caironi. Finally, he helped organizing the music and TV show Battiti Live, the most shared event in the Italian summer 2022.
Jack’s first concert was an Elton John’s on, in 1993.
He loves David Bowie, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chilly Peppers and Linkin Park.

GIUSEPPE MASTROMATTEO

After working as assistant sound engineer, he graduated in 1966 in art direction and began working for Y&R, then D’Adda, Lorenzini, Vigorelli and later from 2000 in DDB, DLVBBDO and Armando Testa as Creative Director. In 2009 he moved to New York as Global Creative Director for Jaguar and other luxury brands of the Havas Group. Two years later, he returned to Italy as ECD of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising and in 2013 he was appointed Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Italia. In 2022 he was also made President of the agency. His portfolio boasts national and international awards, including Cannes Lions, Grand Prix at ADCI, New York Festivals, Clio, D&AD, D&AD, LIA and OneShow.
During his career he has written about art, taught advertising and worked with the Triennale di Milano. In 2005 he took up a career as an artist. Today his works are exhibited in contemporary art galleries in Milan, Paris and New York. In 2018 he published his first volume of art, “Humanscape”.

EMANUELE NENNA
CEO DENTSU CREATIVE Southern Europe, MENA & Turkey
Born in Milan in 1973, Emanuele Nenna has been involved in communication since 1995. Born as a copywriter, he became CEO and partner of several international agencies, before founding Now Available with two partners in 2008. It was the first Italian agency of “neutral advertising”, and in 2014 it became The Big Now, with offices in Milan, Rome and Accra. In 2018, The Big Now joined the Dentsu Aegis Group, where Nenna is a member of the Dentsu Italy EXEC Committee.
Since the official launch of DENTSU CREATIVE globally in June 2022, Nenna has been CEO and President of DENTSU CREATIVE Italy, the creative agency with over 250 talents and professionals spanning all creative disciplines. He is past – president of UNA, United Communication Companies, TED speaker, lecturer at NABA, IED and Politecnico di Milano and is also author of “Creative 4Cast. A new solution for the future of advertising” (LID Publishing, London, 2013).
In May 2023, Emanuele was appointed CEO of DENTSU CREATIVE’s SEMENAT (Southern Europe, MENA & Turkey) cluster.

Alessandra is an university professor in Event Management for the Mimec Masters course at Bocconi University and consultant for marketing, communication and events production.
She has twenty years’ experience in the design and production of online and offline campaigns. She has worked with leading brands investing in communication and with the major ad agencies.
General Manager and Co-founder of IF!, Alessandra is a member of the board of ADCI Servizi and works with both profit and non-profit organisations.

Marianna Ghirlanda joined the BBDO group in September 2018, as CEO of DLVBBDO and Proximity Italia after a long experience in Google. Since 2011 she has been Head of Creative Partnerships in Google Italy where she has been responsible for relations with creative agencies for special projects. After graduating in architecture with specialization in ergonomics and a master’s degree in marketing, she began her working experience as a designer. In 2001 she approached the world of communication working for ten years in creative agencies in Italy, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
